Sport psychology for athletes, coaches, and teams in Rhode Island

I'm Dr. Chris Bilder, a licensed psychologist and a Certified Mental Performance Consultant. Most people in this field are one or the other, which means you have to decide up front whether you've got a confidence problem or something heavier. In my experience, about 70% of performers have some of both. So don't decide. That's what the first call is for.

Based in Providence. In person for mental performance across Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. Telehealth therapy in 40+ states, check whether yours is one.

About Me

By day, I'm Associate Director of Clinical Sport Psychology Services at Providence College, working with elite coaches, teams, and athletes. Before that, I was a sport psychologist in the Big 10 at Northwestern University. That's the part most private practices can't offer. I'm not describing college athletics from the outside, I'm in it every week. My work with elite athletes and Division I programs has helped me develop a practice that promotes both competitiveness and compassion. My work focuses on connecting big picture values and goals with in-the-moment skills to help get the most out of your performance, whether in sport or life.
